Skyline Highschool - Arts Students Collaboration

We are very excited to reveal the final result of this collaborative piece we planned with Rachel Kantor, chair of the Visual Art Department at Skyline High School.

This wall had a mural that was never finished, so a refresh was very much needed as it had been in that state for quite a while.
With the help of almost 90 students, we created a collaborative mural where they painted freely, bringing their personal spark of color into the mural.
Afterward, when the background was completely full, we masked the letters and painted the surrounding areas, making the student's drawings the primary focus of the mural.

With this simple yet effective technique, we created a fun, participative work of art for the students that serve as clear and memorable signage for the art department.
